Put Switch In Attic

Wiring for an attic light and switch hi i am trying to install a wall switch in my attic.

I would need to run an extension cord around a corner from that outlet in the attic to put it where i want to put it. It can get about 110 in the summer or more i would imagine the attic is likely the same. This is also a hard wired fixture but one operated simply by a pull string. Place the light switch near the entry for convenience and use a switch with a warning light that reminds you when the light is on. Ideally i would like to have a two state switch in the house. I demonstrate the light install process including installing a new rough in elect. If wiring a wall switch is too much trouble install a pull string light fixture preferably near the entry.

It currently has one pull string light that has power running in it and out to a wall socket. Looking for some recommendations for switches that can withstand las vegas summer attic heat. I have a little experience in electrical work. Fan is controlled by thermostat. I want to install a fan in my attic. I want the fan to be controlled by a thermostat in the attic but i want the ability to bypass or override the fan from within my house.

Through a room upstairs there is a door that opens and you can step out into the attic. Instead of adding just a light. Less than 30 i needed a light desperately so i could see while moving around in the attic.
